A letter to Mr Abdullah Badawi

Dear Mr Abdullah Badawi

I used to be a sincere supporter of you, however due to some obvious reasons, I decided to vote against you this time round.

Should you have not called for a stop to the scenic bridge project, Singapore would have had sued Malaysia for at least 100 billions USD in ICJ. It is definitely a sure-lost case for Malaysia. The hooligan politics of locking opposition in jail and taking full control of entire justice system had seversely demaged the international reputation of Malaysia. But you did not continue to practise it when you took over the government. For that matters, we Malaysian appreciate your decision and efforts.

In 2004, majority of Malaysians thought that their country had finally seen the arrival of a clean and efficient number-1 man and casted their votes to you for a two-third-majority win, but you had disappointed us. You have done very little to minimize the bad impacts of the policies left over by Mahathir, which will destroy Malaysia in time to come. That is the only reason why UMNO almost hands the governing power to opposition in this election.

Corruptions in government cause loss of hundreds of milions ringgits each year and we sincerely wish you could solve this big problem left over by Mahathir.

Please show us that you can win back the heart of all Malaysians in the next election.

Yours sincerely,

Syed Mohktar bin Mohammed Mahathir
